Feeling down...

Why do certain things in life have to be so hard?
I have really been struggling lately with my emotions.  It has been really hard not to fall back into old habits of emotional eating.  To be honest I have let my feeling get the better of me more than once in the last few weeks.   I guess there is so much more I need to work on and work through before things will get easier.

What do I need to do to get this under control because all I am doing is sabatoging myself?

What do you do to help with emotional eating?

  1. This was a tough one for me too, I found stocking up on healthy options to have on hand (like plums and strawberries) and not having my trigger foods (chocolate and cookies) stashed everywhere. Also getting support someone to talk to, or writing the feelings down or going for a walk when I get the urge. Good luck dont get to down on yourself when it happens, find some other healthy way to work through the emotions.

  2. Stop beating your self up. First, get the unhealthy stuff out of the house. Life has a tendency to be trying. Try to stay positive. When you feel overwhelmed and feel like you need to eat, STOP. Take a minute and remind yourself how important you are and that the situation will pass and that eating isn't going to solve the problem. Instead, you need to find another way to feel better when pressed with challenges. I watch you workout at the gym and you are doing so well. Just talking with you the times we have spoken. I can tell that you have a big heart and do your best to please others. Now, this is your chance to please yourself. You can overcome anything, just give it a try. Change doesn't happen over night, and it is not easy, but you can change and succeed in all you do! :)
